The Fun Stuff
In 2006, I wrote and self-published a novella, What the Sea Wants, for my graduate thesis, which received a favorable review in VOYA.
I’ve lived in Canada, the UK, and Italy, in addition to many places along the US East Coast.
I’m left-handed.
I was once rescued by helicopter while on a canoe trip with my dad.
My husband (AKA MAJOR HOTSAUCE) originally expressed his romantic interest by daring me to eat a raw potato at a party.
The first story I ever wrote was called The Dog, Cat, and Bird. I was five.
The authors I discovered an everlasting love for when I was a “young adult”: Robin McKinley, Cynthia Voigt, Madelaine L’Engle, L. M. Montgomery, Charles Dickens. Etc. Etc. Etc. ;-)
My high school role model/icon, to whom I am still grateful for making me want to be a strong, kickass chick: Buffy Summers
