Do I HAVE to hold your sword?

Welcome to our inaugural Awkward Picture Day!

Today I'm featuring a photo of me when I was living in England for grad school. I spent a long weekend on a bus tour of Scotland (incidentally, if you’re looking for an inexpensive tour of Scotland with hilarious guides and the most fabulous name for a tour company ever, I highly recommend Haggis Adventures). It was a wonderful trip. I went alone and met some great new friends, all from Australia and New Zealand. The four of us climbed mountains together, drank a LOT of beer, and even flashed a loch (it was tradition!).

It was during a visit to Eilean Donan Castle –here is a NON-awkward picture of the castle...

That this week's "Awkward Picture" was taken!

    Without further ado...

“Mr. Castle Tour Guide Dude: You’re not the cute Scottish guy I was expecting. And I really don't want to hold your sword.”

I think my feelings about this picture would be best expressed in a monologue from the movie Superstar. In this monologue I will be playing the ridiculous but oblivious Catholic schoolgirl Mary Katherine Gallagher. "Hey, Mr. Castle Tour Guide Dude, quit stealing my shtick!"
